PAVEMENT ANTS get their name because they make their nests in or under cracks in pavement. These dark brown to black ants can also infest structures. These black ants will eat almost anything. They have been known to consume insects, seeds, honeydew, honey, bread, meats, nuts & cheese. They forage in trails for distances up to 30 feet and are known to clim masonry walls that enter into occupied areas.

FLEAS ​are parasites that feed on the blood of any warm-blooded body.  The most common species is the cat flea, which often feasts on cats, dogs and humans.  Fleas can live for about 100 days during which time the females produce 400-500 offspring.  Fleas transport themselves on rodents and other mammals, and usually remain on their hosts at all times.  These pests use their powerful legs to jump as high as 8" vertically, which is 150 times their own height.  If humans could do this, we would be able to leap over skyscrapers.

Fleas infest both household pets and wild animals like opossums, raccoons and skunks.  They can also be found on shoes, pant legs or blankets, which can transfer the fleas to new environments.

COMMON HOUSE ​spider is usually the spider most often encountered indoors. It is a nuisance pest, probably more because of its web than the spider itself.  The house spider is found worldwide and is common throughout the United States and Canada. They randomly select its web locations and creates a tangled web. If a web does not yield prey it is abandoned, another site is selected, and a new web is built. They have a difficult time surviving in modern homes due to low humidity and fewer insects for food. They are more likely to prosper inside structures like garages, sheds, barns and warehouses. Outside, these domestic spiders are often around windows and under eaves, especially near light sources that attract prey
